History with Mrs. G!

Welcome! My name is Clare, and I’m a middle school social studies teacher in Atlanta, Georgia. I LOVE teaching middle school. Sarcasm. Thinking they’re grown. First learning about the world. It’s actually an incredible age to teach.

In addition to teaching, I also run a Teachers Pay Teachers store, History with Mrs. G! At this point, the store has a majority of products made for 8th grade Georgia Studies teachers. I taught the course for years, and there was a serious lack of quality materials for our Georgia-specific history standards.

Why “Insecure Teacherpreneur?” Well…I’m new to this “market yourself” mentality. I’d love to just be able to post products, but platforms sometimes change or disappear. A blog allows me to have a landing page that I OWN! I can also write about lesson plan ideas that go with my products, discuss my awkard fumbling around the TPT world, or just write about my thoughts on the state of education (of which I have many!).

Outside of teaching, I’m married and currently a mom of one very cute little boy. I also love reading, hiking, fitness, and nutrition. I used to have a food/fitness blog, but it turns out that I’m pretty terrible with food photography and short on time to experiment on recipes!
